The Fantasy cables are some of the best out there, like the speaker cables they just get out of the way of the music. Big Jim has done a nice job and the fantasy line one of my favorites. As hard as I tried, I could not find anything wrong with them. Like the speaker cables the power cord sounds awesome and I did not notice it in the system. It is very flexible and the 10 gages are perfect for amps and preamps. My trusty AC-11 is a good power cord but the Fantasy is much better across the board.

Day 1. Okay I said to myself can the Fantasy hang with my Dcca audio Ref 1 power cord $500 dollars and much bigger. The Dcca cord was plugged right in the wall for best current flow. I swap out the cables thinking the Fantasy would fall on its face. I also cheated and plug the fantasy into my chang ac line conditioner to see if it would clip my amp, it did not, wow! a nice cord. When I turned up the volume the fantasy remain clean and smooth. The cord took me some time to get it going or maybe it needed to burn some more and stay in the system. Always let your cables stay in place a few days after bending and twisting them. Also make sure the plugs are pushed in all the way mainly with power cords. 110-V AC current hates bad and loose connections! Pop open the plugs and get a screwdriver and make sure all connections are tight and the ends are clean, then your power cords will sound twice as good.

Day 2. The Bass is very good with excellent low-level resolution and not thin at all, nice and warm too without that slow mush. I like the Wight and the upper Bass was also clean. The Midrange is very transparent and the music just flows, like I said in the Fantasy speaker cable review, the lower mid’s and upper mid’s are what makes the Fantasy series so special. Most cables get into trouble in this area, not the Fantasy’s. I can say a lot of things about the Midrange with this cord, but all can say is, the cable just got out of the way of the music.

The Top-End is clean and detail and doesn’t rolled off like most cords. Clean, smooth detail with lots of information is what you want in a cable and the Fantasy has it.

Conclusion: The Fantasy AC-10 power cord is a nice affordable cord and could hang with my best cords in house. It did not hurt my amp neither, the big Rogue liked it and did not clip even when plugged in the PLC.
